- Easy to grow, first year flowering hardy perennial producing attractive fruity colours. Attracts bees and butterflies
- Sow from February to May and September to October
- Sow the seeds under cover onto the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays.
- Cover seed with a light sprinkling of compost or vermiculite and place at a temperature between 15-20°C (59-68°F).
- When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into pots or trays.
- Then gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost has passed, 30cm (12″) apart.
- For best results, grow in any ordinary, well drained soil in full sun. Overwinter autumn sown plants in a coldframe and plant out the following spring.
- Flowers from July to September
